Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2025–2026 School Year!

 

My name is Michelle Baptista, and I am proud to serve as the Principal of Hansen Elementary School. It is truly an honor to continue leading such an incredible school community filled with dedicated educators, supportive families, and inspiring students. This year marks my 24th year in education, and my commitment to helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally remains as strong as ever.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Education Studies and a Master’s degree in Education, along with a Clear Administrative Services Credential. These academic experiences have fueled my belief in the power of equitable, high-quality education and the importance of nurturing the whole child.

Outside of school, I’m a proud wife and mother of four amazing children. My husband and I love spending time as a family—cheering on our kids at their various activities, including sports and dance, and exploring new places whenever we can travel together. These moments remind me of the importance of community, support, and celebration—values we work hard to instill here at Hansen.

At Hansen Elementary, we are committed to academic excellence, building strong relationships, and fostering a safe and inclusive environment where every child can thrive. I am grateful to work alongside our incredible teachers and staff, and I look forward to partnering with families to make this school year a meaningful and successful one for all our students.
